Connecting participants of Burning Man to everything they need to prepare for the desert while celebrating and providing a local outlet for performers and artists alike.

From 1pm -7pm, guests can get all the funky, crazy gear they need and want for the desert from local burner-preneurs. The event will feature several fashion shows, live performances hourly by hoop, poi, belly dancer troupes and more.

Playa 'U' how to clinics will be educating new and seasoned burners on different aspects of playa living and preparation like how to build a shower, keeping your camp 'green', el wire lighting clinics and more!

Live music by The Zoopy Show www.myspace.zoopyfunk and several playa DJs like B. Smiley (supperclub), Murphstar (Seismic) and Shissla (House of Lotus).

Each event will have an artist benefactor and a percentage of the proceeds will be given to that artist to help bring their art installation to Burning Man. In June, the artist we celebrate will be Peter Hudson (www.hudzo.com), maker of the Homouroboros of 2007.

MISSION STATEMENT:

To create an accessible interface between the public audience and the local sustainable art and design community.

VISION:
Pandora's Trunk will function as a retail boutique and gallery that integrates visible artist workspaces into the floor plan and front window. A resident core of artists will serve as a unique educational and promotional tool as they work.

Pandora's Trunk will take a leadership role in the creative community by focusing on sustainability both in its global function and within the work of participating artists. The group will work to educate its audience on the value of re-use and locally oriented commerce.
